Conference Committee

The Conference Committee carries out the various tasks required to pull together a successful conference. In practice, a number of positions are usually filled by folks that are willing to do the job year after year while other positions need to be filled each year.

It will be your job, as Conference Chair, to recruit people for these positions. Since there is some overlap, some of these positions may be filled by the same person or just handled by the Conference Chair. Having co-chairs is fairly common for larger jobs such as Conference Chair or Programming Contest Director. Keep in mind that several people on the Regional Board are key members of the Conference Committee even if they aren’t “officially” listed as part of the Conference Committee, e.g., Program Chair.

Here is a list of Conference Committee positions along with a brief description of each. Unless noted otherwise, you’ll need to recruit someone for these jobs.
